Entry fee is £300 per team of 6

Entry fee is £300 per team of 6. This includes use of the rafts for racing, and training on Friday by prior arrangement. It includes all logistics / transport for the racing, an evening meal on Saturday and a breakfast bap on Sunday with tea or coffee. Camping is also included in the entry fee for each team of six, and you must have no more than three tents per team.

You must provide your own personal paddling and safety equipment, including paddles. If any teams require paddles, please contact Deb to see if there are any possibilities to borrow / hire for the weekend.

Each team member must either be a member of the BCU or home nation equivalent, or pay a £5 supplement for the weekend to cover them for insurance. Membership numbers for each team member will be required by registration, or the insurance fee will have to be charged.

Event location:

Our event hosts are the Square and Compass Pub

We will be racing on the River Derwent, and particularly on the Saturday, you may be out all day away from vehicles on river, so a team bag for snacks and dry clothing will be necessary to be transported for you in an event vehicle.

Dates: May 9th, 10th and 11th.

Open practice available on the 9th, must be arranged prior to the competition with Deb: deb@britishrafting.com

For this you will be allocated a raft and must be responsible for the raft and any transport for the day.

Friday evening - registration will be open from 7pm - 11pm. There will be a table in the pub where you can come and sign in, collect your event vouchers and make sure we have the necessary consent forms for your team.

Sprint and Head to Head racing will take place in the morning

Slalom will take place in the afternoon

Evening meal for all competitors will be provided back at the pub, with results so far and a social! There will be prizes for the best dressed team ( this is not an individual prize, this is a team award for the most impressively dressed team!).

Breakfast bap and tea or coffee for all competitors will be provided in the pub

Downriver endurance race

Return to the pub for awards ceremony and prize giving.

We are aiming to be finished by 2pm at the latest, including awards and prize giving, to allow people time to travel home, or enjoy the rest of the day in the area.
